PE and Sports Premium

For the 2023-2024 school year, we chose to spend a proportion of our PE Grant money on encouraging our children to try new sports/activities and to be more active.

We continued to work with SportsCool to provide a wide range of extra curricular sporting activities throughout the year, during lunch time and after school, using specialist coaches to engage our children in being active.

Half termly interhouse competitions were arranged, covering wide ranging sports, preceded by a training session with qualified coaches, broadening the experiences of children.

We also made use of SportsCool coahes expertise within curriculum PE time, with our school staff learning from SportsCool specialist coaches so that we can provide a long term improved PE offer for our children.

For the 2024-2025 school year, we will continue to spend a proportion of our PE Grant money on extra curricular provision, both at lunchtime and after school, encouraging children to be active and engage in a range of sporting opportunities.

Half termly interhouse competitions will continue, preceded by a training session with qualified coaches, further broadening experiences for our children.

Given the current needs of our children, funding will also be spent on half termly well-being workshops for every child in school, supporting children to develop a range of strategies to promote their mental health and well being.

We will continue to engage in a range of sporting competitions in 2024-2025.
