PE and Sports Premium

For the 2023-2024 school year, we have chosen to continue to spend a proporition of our PE Grant money on encouraging our children to try new sports/activities and to be more active.

We are working with SportsCool to provide free to parents extra curricular sporting activities throughout the year, during lunch time and after school, using specialist coaches to engage our children in being active.

Half termly interhouse competitions have been arranged, covering wide ranging sports, preceded by a training session with qualified coaches, broadening the experiences of children.

In addition to the half termly competitions for all children, for EYFS to Y6, we will continue with our annual swimming competition for KS2 classes, linked to our commitment to increase the percentage of children at All Saints' who are able to competently swim 25m by the time they leave All Saints'. This is supported by the use of PE grant funding to ensure all KS2 cohorts take part in a block of swimming sessions during the year, allowing us to identify children in years 3-6 who are unable to swim and take action to support this.

We are also making use of their expertise within curriculum PE time, with our school staff learning from SportsCool specialist coaches so that we can provide a long term improved PE offer for our children.
