The children were amazing today, they speak so enthusiastically about their French lessons and I can tell they are really enjoying them so thank you!

All children commented that they love their French lesson and they now say, 'I can speak French!'
Some of the children said that they spoke French on holiday and their parents 'were well impressed'.
Years 5 and 6 told me how they are loving listening to the French number 1 and how sometimes 'it's like the music we listen to but most of the time it's really different and they sing so fast!'
They were really excited that they had used Kahoot and were happy because they can see that their meetings with me have made an impact on what we're doing in school.

Children said that they feel like they never get a turn on Rigolo and sometimes the teacher says 'you can have a go next week' but then they forget. They felt that this could be resolved by teachers using the randomiser on Dojo or lollipop sticks as they feel this is a fair way of choosing who goes next.
They said that their lessons don't always start with a retrieval, please can you ensure this is happening because it's a really good opportunity to have them practise vocab which they haven't used since last term etc.
The French number 1 is shared in all classes, it's a great opportunity for them to compare and contrast to the UK and also a music cross-curricular link.
Children feel like there is ages between French lessons and they forget things. It would be great if a mini retrieval could be done during the week - they thought maybe as handwriting practise!
