WWW (what went well)

* Mindfulness

* Opportunities to talk in pairs

* Enjoy participating and using post it notes

* We recap the British values, which helps us remember

 

EBI (even better if)

* Mindfulness journals were used more (with the exception of year 6 who reported using these frequently)

*Mindfulness could be more creative - this needs further exploration

*There was less listening required in PSHE lessons

*Meditation formed a regular part of PSHE

*Lessons could be taken outside

*Vocabulary could be explored actively

 

Children were keen to explore how debating might form part of our PSHE lessons. They spoke about splitting the class for and against a topic and children having the opportunity to move to a chosen 'side' of the room and give reasons why the have chosen that particular 'side'. 

 

Online Safety

Children were asked to discuss what they know about staying safe online.

 

Year 1 knew to tell an adult about any problems, that passwords help keep things safe, to keep passwords private, not to click on pop-ups and if you came across someone you don't know online then to tell a trusted adult.

 

Year 2 knew not to talk to strangers online, not to have social media, not to share phone numbers, school name or address online, not to play games over their age range, not to share passwords and to tell a trusted adult if they felt uncomfortable about anything.

 

Year 3 knew not to click on things above your age, not to search something you don't know about and not to click on pop-ups.

 

Year 4 knew not to share personal information online, not to be friends with people you 'meet' online as they might not be being honest about who they are. They could also recall the SCAM acrostic; Sounds too good to be true; Can involve money; Asks for personal information; Messages that are unexpected.

 

Year 5 knew not to give away personal information and not to answer random messages in case these were an online scam.

 

Year 6 knew not to bully or be rude to anyone online, not to give out private information, not to chat to random people online, not to accept friend requests from unknown people, not to make social media accounts if you are below the age restriction and knew to Stop! Block! Report!
