Extra curricular at All Saints'

Extra Curricular Provision 2022-2023

Following a review of take up of our extra curricular provision at All Saints' throughout 2021-2022, and following discussion with children and parents, we have made some changes to extra curricular provision at All Saints' for 2022-2023 in order to increase the number of children who are able to partake.

Using our PE/Sports Premium funding, we offer daily lunchtime clubs, targeting two year groups per day, to be involved in a physical activity covering a wide range of sports. Our year 6 sports leaders assist SportsCool with the running of these clubs and in encouraging as many children as possible to take part. We also now offer netball and football during lunchtime for Y5 and Y6 children, to support in training for the football and netball league games which we are a part of.

In addition to the above, we are fortunate enough to have a qualified football coach who leads a weekly training session, 3:30-4:15pm, each Friday for our year 6 children.

Seasonal clubs operate in preparation for various events and competitions that school take part in. This year, we have signed up for the following events/competitions, all of which will have staff led extra curricular provision on offer in the run up:

Y5/6 cross country

Y3/4 quad kids

Y5/6 dodgeball

Y3/4 athletics

Y1/2 dance

Y1/2 kurling

Mr Preston runs 4 weekly blocks of computing club provision for each year group in turn, on a Monday, starting with Y6, and making his way down through school , ending with EYSF in the summer term.

Mrs Williams lead a percussion group for KS2 children every Monday after school.

Just Imagine offer a musical theatre club each Tuesday after school, incorporating drama, music and dance!

Mrs Daley leads choir for all KS2 children each week.

Each half term, class teachers will offer an extra curricular club, on a chosen theme, in response to children's interests, after school for all children. In autumn 1, this club is linked to art, with children designing Christmas cards which can be made into mugs, wrapping paper, cards etc.

During the spring term, a science club will run alternating between year groups, with 2 sessions available for each year group. Parents will be encouraged to join their children at these sessions so science can be taken home and explored beyond school.
