Online Safety

Online safety and keeping children safe online is an important part of the computing curriculum. We ensure that online safety is taught explicitly at the start of each academic year and is a continuing theme through every unit of computing we teach.

We share and constantly reiterate messages to our children so that they know how to stay safe online and what to do if they ever feel unsafe.

Please do what you can by checking the settings of your child's devices and talking to them about the online safety, using the resources we regularly share with parents via our newsletters and Dojo, that can all be found on our website within the parents' online safety area.

We promote an ethos of respect when online and make sure that whatever we type or say online is kind and useful- we need your help at home to support this so that we can all work together to keep our children safe and SMART.

We are very fortunate to have a strong partnership with the local PCSOs and police who come into school to support in sharing important safety messages with our children.

If ever you feel you need help or advice, please get in touch with us in school and we will gladly support.
