What went well:
Children across the year groups reported that they have enjoyed their learning this year. Year 4 enjoyed learning about decimals, year 3 learning about fractions and year 2 multiplying and addition.
Year 1 pupils could: represent a half and a quarter, show a basic understanding of the 4 calculation signs
Year 2 pupils could: show an understanding of the four operations, link fractions to division and finding equal parts
Year 3 pupils could: recall the column written methods for addition and subtraction, recall something they had learnt about adding fractions
Year 4 pupils could: illustrate an understanding of perimeter, illustrate different angles and name some of these, recall some addition of fractions, show an understanding of the value of digits in a 4 digit number
Year 5 pupils could: illustrate some knowledge of decimals, including addition of decimals in some cases, show an understanding of the value of digits in a 5 digit number, carry out formal written methods for the 4 operations, show an awareness of percentages
Even better if:
Children asked for more maths learning to take place outdoors.
Children enjoyed the escape rooms and would like more chance to enjoy these.
