What went well:
All pupils reported learning about online safety, including as part of regular retrieval.
All pupils have enjoyed the regular mindfulness sessions and the visits to class by the Wellbeing Warriors.
All children felt confident about making an emergency 999 call.
All children could talk about some of the 1st aid learning that had taken place this year.
The aspirations event in KS2. Children especially enjoyed bandaging up the teddy bear.
Children in KS1 could talk about several aspects of road safety including, how to be seen when out walking in the dark, the need to wear seatbelts and helmets for safety reasons and looking both ways before crossing a road.
KS2 pupils could recall several 1st aid facts. They knew to put pressure on a bleed, keep still if there is a suspected broken bone, keep calm and call 999 in certain situations.
Even better if:
More learning could take place outdoors.
Children could do more win the PSHE lessons, rather than just talk and listen, especially in relation to 1st aid.
