Department for Safety

The Ministers in the Department of Rights and Justice, both young leaders (KS2) and mini leaders (KS1), have an important role to play at All Saints’.

They will hold the responsibility for promoting safe travel in and around All Saints’ Primary school.  They will also work alongside the Department of Health and Wellbeing to promote a walk to school project.

They will meet half termly.  The focus of these meetings will be linked to the leadership skill that is the whole school focus that half term, as well as discussing other topics which have arisen through class parliament discussions relating to concerns or suggestions children have relating to transport around our school.  One of the young leaders will hold the responsibility for taking minutes and creating a report about what the Department of Transport is working on at the time.  It will then be the responsibility of the ministers to share this information during whole school assemblies.

The link teacher for the Department of Transport is Mrs Hargreaves who will work alongside the local PCSOs.

Spring update

At times, Health and Safety Ministers have joined Mrs Hargreaves and the Environment Ministers on walks around school checking cloakrooms, picking up items that could cause a tripping hazard.  The work they have done with Mr Preston and the Eco club also helps to keep our school a safe place to be without litter, weeds and branches in the forest which could cause a safety hazard.
