2025-2026

The Pupil Parliament met in Autumn 1 to discuss fundraising for charity.  Following from Class Parliament discussions, the Pupil Parliament Representatives met to discuss Pupils suggestions for charities to raise money for and how to do so.

Many charities were suggested and the Pupil Parliament voted to narrow the selection to 4 charities to fundraise for in Autumn 2.  Those charities are: Water Aid Donate now | WaterAid UK, a charity raising money for families in Uganda (this charity is close to our hearts after Mrs Collins volunteered there during her holidays one year) NECS Education & Community Support, Maundy Relief (a local charity) Home - Maundy Relief and Daisy Garland (a charity for children with epilepsy) The Daisy Garland.

Children will all have the opportunity to use their 'voice' to decide which charity they think the money raised should go to and funds raised will be shared according to the votes of the children.

A range of fundraising ideas such as bake sales, movie nights, discos and non-uniform days were suggested.  These will be fine tuned once the Pupil Parliament meet again at the beginning of Autumn 2.
