We have already reached the third and final term of Year 4!  How quickly is time going?!

In this final term we will continue to work hard at setting and maintaining high expectations for our learning. 

We will get going quickly with lots of learning. 

We will be looking at some wonderful texts in English including The Paperbag Prince by Colin Thompson and The Last Wild by Piers Torday, as well as non fiction texts on climate change.

In maths we will be getting to grips with fractions as well as decimals and money. Remember to please continually go over telling of the time with your child.

We will also be focusing heavily on mastering our times tables. We have the times tables check coming up and I would like the children to be as prepared for this as possible. Please continue to encourage your child to work hard on memorising all the times tables up to 12 x 12.

In science we will be finishing our sound unit before moving on to states of matter and electricity. 

In history we will be looking at the Anglo Saxons and the Vikings hopefully finishing with a trip to the Yorvik centre.

DT will be all about making bread!
