Welcome to Beech Class!
We are a mixed-age year three and four class, taught by Miss Harrison and supported by Mrs Toft and Mrs Lambert.
Spring Term 2020 in Beech Class
This term our theme is 'Water Water!'.
In English we will be looking at a number of different texts based on the theme of water, including ‘The Mousehole Cat’ by Antonia Barber, ‘The Waterhorse’ by Dick King Smith and ‘The Little Mermaid’ by Hans Christian Anderson.
In Geography, we will be investigating what it is like to live near water as we focus on human and physical features of the UK coastline and how they have changed over time. Keeping with our theme of water, our art unit this term is linked to an artist study of Claude Monet as we look at texture painting to create our own artwork in the impressionist style.
Our RE units this term will start by focusing on stories about Jesus in the bible, before beginning our Eater unit all about the betrayals within the Easter story. Science this term will focus on States of Matter. Through this, we will be carrying out lots of practical science experiments and investigations to develop our working scientifically skills as we develop our knowledge of solids, liquids and gases.
