Autumn 1 feedback

All children talked positively about art and how much they loved the subject.

• Years 6, 5, 4 and 1 could talk about the artist that they studied.
• All children could talk about the skills they had been practising. 
• All children talk positively about using different media.
• Year 1 loved working on drawing their own faces.
• Year 3 loved getting to print with the polystyrene tiles and etching their own designs in them.
• Year 4 loved using different things to make texture in their paint and enjoyed being able to create their final pieces.
• Year 5 loved working with wire to make their own sculptures and using the water colours in the style of the artist.
• Years 6 loved getting to work over an existing picture in an aboriginal style.
• Year 6 also loved getting to work on the computer to create their own work and enjoyed repeating the image digitally.

EBI

• Ensuring that sharing art happens in all classes.
• Year 6 would like some more freedom in the choices for their final pieces.
• Year 4 would like to work with different sized paintbrushes.
• Year 1 want to use the paints more.
