At All Saints' CE Primary we believe PE & Sports plays an important part in making our vision a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.
We offer wide and varied opportunities for extra curricular sporting activities as well as a dedicated 2 hours per class for PE and games per week.
Your school games kite mark award
We are 'going for gold' again this year, with the hope of raising the profile of sports in school, as well as targeting children who are not as active as they would like to be, or sometimes feel disengaged with sport. We are doing this through a range of different activities and classes designed to engage and motivate, as well as increase stamina, fitness and promote healthy lifestyles.
As part of a whole school ethos, we believe that a healthy body and a healthy mind help to promote happiness and well being for our children. We take part in the Daily Mile as a whole school initiative and have mindfulness sessions including a Zen-den and yoga.
PE and Sport Premium Funding
This is additional funding for schools and the amount is calculated by the number of primary aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11) at the annual census in January. All schools with 17 or more primary aged pupils will receive a lump sum of £16,000 plus an additional payment of £10 per pupil from the 2017/2018 academic year.
Here at All Saints', we are committed to providing high quality PE and Sport opportunities to improve the offer to all children to help them develop healthy and active lifestyles, experience of a wide range of sports as well as offering them the chance to participate in competitive sports. The school will continue to develop its P.E. curriculum, providing a rich, varied and balanced provision with resources enhanced, providing quality staff CPD and high quality teaching and learning for all children.
This is a working document and will change to reflect any further opportunities which might arise that the school feels the children will benefit from in our school.
